MASTER’S DEGREE IN CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND PUBLIC SAFETY

Students receive the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to master, comprehend, interpret and apply new prosecution and administration methodologies in the field of criminal justice.

We develop capacities that foster research and education in the field of Criminal Science that then incorporate advances in scientific development into professional practices. Graduates may also work as specialized litigators, administrators or prosecutors to analyze, determine, propose and apply alternative solutions within the framework of social commitment, justice and equality in service of a common good and social peace.

Who should pursue this degree?

Lawyers, Criminologists, Politicians, Police Officers, Investigators, Experts, Administrators and those who work in areas related to the social sciences or any fields that require extensive knowledge of current issues, human rights, the penitentiary system, justice, prosecution and its relationship with public security. This degree allows students to efficiently develop appropriate solutions for designing objective criminal policies that enable the application of risk assessment and crisis management programs that fight against corruption and organized crime while ensuring national security.

The professors of the Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Public Safety are Managers and/or Partners in renowned Law Firms and Offices and Public Ministries, Corporate Legal Advisors, as well as Corporate and Senior Executives in high level private companies, institutions and federal government agencies.

Graduates develop the ability to implement new methodologies for criminal justice administration and management. They generate real and effective solutions to social problems in the areas of criminal justice and public safety. They assess, based on a theoretical and legal framework, trends and conflicts in criminal matters for the proper design, application and evaluation of preventive measures while controlling risks and threats to public security.
